The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2010 – 2011 as part of the Faculty of Engineering with an intake of 60 students at undergraduate level. The department is having experienced Faculty with different fields of specialization. The department is fully equipped with the state of the art of laboratories.

            Linear & Digital Integrated Circuits Laboratory
            DC & AC Machines Laboratory.
Control System Laboratory.
Electronic Devices & Circuits Laboratory.
Measurements & Instrumentation Laboratory.

Linear & Digital Integrated Circuits Laboratory:
This laboratory is used for graduate electronics, logic gates and IC designs. The laboratory houses 15 workbenches with 15 personal computers with advanced software for simulation purpose. Each workbench is mounted with function generator, signal generator, CRO and various range of analog and digital voltmeter, ammeter. This laboratory is also used for R&D works, apart from students practical purpose.

DC & AC Machines Laboratory:
            Electrical Machines lab is equipped with various types of AC & DC machines, coupled set, Synchronous Motor, two 100A Rectifier units, with various ranges of voltmeters & ammeters etc., are available for supporting the project works done by students.

Control System Laboratory:
            This lab is equipped with latest sophisticated kits. This lab contains P, PI, PID Controller, AC & DC servo motor, AC & DC position control, MATLAB simulation.

The Department has MOU with volt-tech Industries, Chennai. This company provides guaranteed placement for 50 students every year.
